City Run/Run for the Reef Run for the Reef is a series of fundraising running events to support our national treasure of the Great Barrier Reef. From 2017 they will be held simultaneously throughout far north Queensland and across the Pacific Ocean to Singapore. They are a precursor to the Great Barrier Reef Marathon Festival which attracts around 4,000 people. |

The Smith Family Mackay Airport supports national independent charity, The Smith Family, in their Learning for Life program to help disadvantaged children in Mackay to gain an education. |

Mackay Special Children’s Christmas Party This is a very special event aimed at bringing a smile to the faces of children aged from babies up to 12 years who may be suffering from life threatening illnesses, physical or intellectual impairments, domestic violence, or living in underprivileged circumstances. |
