Norris Carter, Chief Executive Officer

Norris Carter is responsible for growing Cairns and Mackay airports as gateways to the unique natural assets of the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest and the Bowen/Galilee basin. He joined NQA as a member of the Board of Directors in 2015, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in December 2016. Norris has extensive experience in aviation, including leading airline business development at Auckland Airport and international network planning, revenue management and loyalty at Qantas.

General Manager Mackay Airport, Rob Porter

Rob Porter is responsible for the operations, revenue growth and development of Mackay Airport. Rob builds strong stakeholder relationships as part of NQA’s community engagement and industry development activity. He is currently Chairman of Mackay Tourism Limited and Mackay Stadium and Deputy Chair of the Airports Association of Australia. Rob’s 30 years’ aviation industry experience includes working with the Department of Aviation, Airservices Australia and Sydney, Canberra, Alice Springs and Gold Coast Airports.

 Manager Airport Assets, Adrian Miles 

Adrian is responsible for Mackay Airports Infrastructure and Facilities, including their capital improvement and maintenance. Adrian’s career in Australia and overseas has covered areas including Environmental Health, Property, Facility & Project Management. Adrian took up his role at Mackay Airport in early 2011 and is utilising his past 10 years in Asset & Project Management to work with staff and contractors to continually improve the amenity and performance of the Airport’s vast range of facilities & infrastructure.

 Phil Clark

 Manager Aviation Operations, Philip Clark 

 

Phil Clark is responsible for Airside Safety and Security at Mackay Airport and manages the Airside Operations Team. Phil’s 30 plus years’ in aviation industry experience includes working at a number of New Zealand Airports for the Civil Aviation Division of the Ministry of Transport and Airways Corporation with the majority of the time at Wellington Airport.  Since moving to Australia in 2007 he has work at Cairns and Mackay Airports.

 

 

Manager Commercial & Administration (Under Recruitment)

The role is responsible for managing the commercial operations located at Mackay Airport, as well as leading the Terminal Services Team and Administration/Reception Team.

Acting Chief Financial Officer, Martyn Dominy

Martyn Dominy supports the delivery of the NQA strategy by providing comprehensive finance and information and communications technology support services. Martyn has spent 15 years working across the Asia Pacific region in CFO, Finance Director and Company Secretary roles. He has most recently held interim CFO roles at Honiara International Airport and Queenstown Airport.

 

 Paul McLean  

Chief Commercial Officer – Aviation, Paul McLean 

Paul McLean will join NQA in August 2017 and leads the Aeronautical Marketing and Development team as they work to grow aviation services and passenger numbers for our airports. Paul worked for 12 years in senior sales and marketing roles with Air Canada, most recently as General Manager, Australia and New Zealand. Paul has also served in leadership roles with aviation industry organisations, the Board of Airline Representatives of Australia (BARA) and Star Alliance Australia.
